Job summary

The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking a Principal Maintenance Inspector (PMI), Part 125, to apply knowledge of 14 CFR for developing and implementing standards, programs, and procedures governing air carrier maintenance safety for FAA field personnel and the public.

Qualification requirements include one year of specialized experience at FV-H, FG/GS-12 level and FAA Mechanic Certificate with airframe and power plant ratings, with maintenance, repair, and airworthiness certification

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience at FV-H, FG/GS-12 level.
• Experience includes conducting an acceptable training program and record keeping.
• Experience monitoring air carrier maintenance operations across maintenance, engineering, quality control, production control, training, and reliability programs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience conducting enforcement investigations and preparing final reports and recommendations.
• Experience involving maintenance and repair of airframes, power plants, and systems with responsibility for certifying airworthiness.
• Maintenance experience with large multi-engine aircraft (>12,500 lb max takeoff weight).
