Job summary

Daisy, a national smart space solutions provider, is seeking a founding Lead Technician for the Minneapolis location. You will lead installations, manage field projects, and help establish standards while working with the local owner to launch and grow the Minnesota team.

The role begins part-time with potential to move to full-time as the business scales. Strong leadership and a proactive, hands-on approach are essential to deliver Daisy’s high-quality installations and client experiences.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of AV, networking, low-voltage, or technology integration experience.
• Experience with lighting, shading, networking/Wi‑Fi, indoor/outdoor AV, home theaters, security, and smart home automation is a plus.
• Industry certifications (CEDIA, AVIXA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and service integrated AV, lighting, shades, networking, cameras, and home automation systems.
• Interact professionally with customers, trade partners, and contractors.
• Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, panels, and junction boxes.
• Troubleshoot audio, video, networking, and control systems.
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to execute installations accurately.
• Coordinate projects from installation through completion and communicate progress.
