Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking an Autonomy Engineer (Mid Career) to lead fault management and autonomy for satellite constellations. You will define states and transitions, architect autonomy, and validate fault responses while supporting on-orbit operations and mission CONOPS.

Candidates with 9+ years in space systems and a TS/SCI clearance are highly valued. This onsite role sits in a fast-paced, security-focused environment where innovative approaches drive mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in satellite design and/or operation.
• Experience in design, development, and verification of spacecraft FDIR.
• Experience in spacecraft autonomy software/configuration and on-orbit operations.
• Export control: US Person per 22 C.F.R. §120.62

Responsibilities

• Lead fault and autonomy requirements definition, verification, and validation.
• Define satellite/constellation states, modes, transitions, and autonomous behaviors.
• Contribute to architecture concepts, CONOPS, and trade analyses.
• Design and validate onboard fault detection, isolation, and responses; perform end-to-end validation.
• Support on-console operations for on-orbit missions.
• Other duties as assigned
