Job summary

Kia Design Center America (KDCA) in the United States is seeking a Chief Class-A Digital Modeler to develop DSO/ CAD models and oversee high-fidelity visualization across digital and print media. You will lead ideation through final renderings, coordinating with Design, CAS, and overseas teams to deliver photo-realistic results.

Required are 3–5+ years in automotive visualization, strong knowledge of Alias, VRED, Blender, Unreal Engine, and a solid grasp of lighting, texture, and storytelling in

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent education and experience required.
• 3–5+ years in automotive exterior/interior model visualization.
• Proven ability to translate design intent into 3D visualization assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead visual design from ideation to mock-ups and implementation.
• Develop and maintain a coordinated visualization database.
• Ensure technical attributes and program requirements align with design vision.
• Support workload distribution within Design and CAS teams.
• Use Autodesk Alias, VRED, Blender, Unreal Engine to create renderings and animations.
• Prepare presentations with visualization tools and AR/VR elements.
• Translate 3D data across applications like Alias, VRED, Blender, Unreal Engine.
• Create photo-realistic renderings with lighting, texturing, and scene composition.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to forecast visualization needs.
• Identify new technologies and methods to improve visualization processes.
• Maintain strong communication with overseas partners and HATCI.
• Organize files for Design reviews and presentation materials.
