Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations in Altoona, PA is seeking a Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while mentoring a team toward higher customer care and satisfaction.

You will diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems, and stay current with rapid automotive tech changes through paid formal training.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license at all times.
• Experience diagnosing/repairing brakes.
• Experience with alignment/steering/suspension diagnosis and repair.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair experience.
• Current federal/state/local certifications/licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications (brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C, computer systems).
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within first two years.
