Qualifications

• Brakes diagnosis/repair competency required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair alignment, steering and suspension.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair skills.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, suspension, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics clearly.
• Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing paid training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Aim to obtain ASE certifications (A1–A8) within two years; company covers fees and pays for tests.
