Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack in Salem, NH is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician who can diagnose drivability and electrical systems, educate customers, and lead a shop team to deliver outstanding service.

You will perform repairs across brakes, exhaust, suspension, steering, HVAC, and computer systems, maintain an organized shop, uphold safety rules, and work flexible hours; ASE certs and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5, plus 2 from listed options).
• Section 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license and background check completion.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications -- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and team members.
• Lead and mentor technicians to improve customer care and satisfaction.
• Stay current with automotive technology through formal training.
• Maintain an organized, safe shop and comply with company policies.
