Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a seasoned Occupant Safety Engineer to lead CAE development and validation for frontal and side impact performance. You will develop LS-Dyna occupant protection models, optimize restraint systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and top safety ratings throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in automotive occupant safety engineering.
• Strong experience with LS-Dyna for occupant protection and crash simulation.
• Experience tuning and optimizing airbags, seat belts, seats, and interior components.
• Knowledge of FMVSS 208/214, US-NCAP, and IIHS testing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain occupant protection CAE models using LS-Dyna.
• Support frontal and side impact simulation activities across vehicle programs.
• Optimize restraint systems and interior components to meet safety targets.
• Correlate CAE results with physical tests and validate models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve gaps.
