Job summary

Astemo Ltd. in Kentucky seeks a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead electrical design of automotive ECUs such as transfer case, suspension, or BMS control units throughout the product lifecycle.

The role focuses on responding to quotations and advanced development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust hardware solutions. You will mentor junior engineers, ensure DFMEA and design verification, and work with suppliers to optimize cost and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering or 5-year technical degree with equivalent industry experience.
• 5–7 years of automotive ECU design and development experience.
• Experience in driveline control, suspension control, or BMS design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design responses to new business opportunities for ECU hardware concepts.
• Collaborate with mechanical, system, production, and software teams to create complete design proposals.
• Support hardware design through production ensuring quality and reliability.
• Present design status and proposals to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive DFMEA, design verification, and action item resolution.
