Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a hands-on Hardware Design Engineer to lead automotive embedded hardware development for seating, actuators, and interior systems. You will own hardware design from requirements through production, collaborating with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Validation, and Manufacturing teams.

This full-time onsite role requires strong ownership, excellent communication, and experience with EMC, CAN/LIN, and DFX.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of automotive embedded hardware development experience.
  • Schematic design and hardware development experience.
  • PCB layout and hardware design experience.
  • CAN and LIN communication experience.
  • Experience with requirements management and traceability.
  • Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements and translate to hardware architecture.
  • Design and develop automotive embedded hardware solutions.
  • Create and review schematics, component selection, circuit design, and PCB development.
  • Lead hardware development activities end-to-end from concepts to production.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Quality, Validation, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive, customer, and regulatory requirements.
