Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to take a project from concept through completion for customized automated assembly equipment. You will lead design teams, manage resources and timelines, and ensure successful delivery while coordinating with customers and management.

The role requires a BS/ME or equivalent, 5+ years of experience, and strong SolidWorks skills, with desirable exposure to robotics, vision systems, and data acquisition.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• SolidWorks proficiency required.
• Experience with welding, fixture design and GD&T.
• Experience with robotics, vision systems, data acquisition desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall design of a custom automated machine contracted for by a client.
• Lead a team of design engineers and outside contractors on larger projects.
• Manage resources and breakdown design work into tasks with timelines and milestones.
• Communicate project status with customers and management.
