Job summary

Amazon is seeking an industry proven Operations Engineer to design, build, and improve the order fulfillment infrastructure across North America. You will manage cross-functional projects, coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and site leadership to deliver on time, budget, and quality targets.

In this role you will travel up to 75% regionally, lead automation and material handling initiatives, and ensure safe, scalable solutions from design through commissioning across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Experience with automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, improve, and innovate order fulfillment infrastructure in large-scale network.
• Manage mid-scale integrated automation projects with high-speed sortation and conveyors.
• Lead on-site vendors and coordinate with internal teams to meet schedules and budgets.
• Develop and manage project documentation including budgets, RFPs, changes and invoices.
• Lead system commissioning and testing activities ensuring safety, quality and performance.
• Coordinate operator training, safety practices, and procedural compliance.
