Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Manager of Automation & Controls Engineering to own design, build-out, commissioning, and continuous improvement of automation and electrical systems across Starbase's power generation and utility infrastructure. You will lead a high‑reliability team, review control architectures, and ensure reliable operation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of automation/controls engineering on industrial power generation projects.
• 3+ years of direct team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own automation and controls scope for power generation assets and utility-scale systems.
• Lead design reviews of control philosophies, I/O lists, and electrical schematics.
• Mentor and scale a team of automation engineers and technicians.
