Job summary
Mural Group in Morganfield, Kentucky is hiring an Automation & Assembly Process Engineer to own the complete automation sequence from commissioning through serial production. You will manage gantry systems, robotic cells, PLC/HMI, servo, sensor, vision, and AI-inspection performance, ensuring robust operating sequences and safe interlocks.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Controls Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with automated automotive manufacturing or similar.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, safety circuits.
- Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and controls docs and lead troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize integrated assembly process and automation sequence.
- Own gantry, robotic, PLC/HMI, servo, sensor, vision, and AI-inspection system performance from commissioning through serial production.
- Lead FAT, SAT, machine runoff, installation, commissioning, debug, Run@Rate, and production handover activities.
- Drive throughput, automation uptime, cycle time, MTBF, and MTTR improvements; coordinate supplier actions and punch-list closure.
