Job summary

ERM CVS is seeking a Lead Auditor to head independent audits of mining and metals operations, driving ESG performance and ISO/compliance across global sites. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and stakeholders, and mentor junior auditors while advancing audit methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Significant experience auditing and/or implementing management systems within the mining and metals sector.
• Qualified or registered Lead Auditor status in one or more relevant standards.
• Experience auditing responsible mining standards such as IRMA, Copper Mark, ICMM Mining Principles, and/or ASI.
• Strong understanding of ESG performance and management system frameworks in mining.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17021 requirements and accreditation standards.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 75% and independence in audit activities.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party certification and assurance audits across ISO and responsible mining frameworks.
• Evaluate conformance, operational effectiveness, and ESG performance against standards.
• Develop audit plans and coordinate execution across dispersed teams.
• Produce high-quality audit reports with findings and non-conformities.
• Provide technical leadership throughout audit planning and reporting.
• Build trusted relationships with client teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor auditors and support capability building.
• Support business growth via thought leadership and advisory engagements.
• Uphold independence, integrity and professional judgment in all activities.
