Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Auditor to join the Global Payment Network team in a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will lead audits, develop engagement planning, design and execute audit procedures, and coach junior staff, while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality, timely results.

You should bring a Bachelor’s Degree or military experience, 3+ years in auditing, accounting, financial analysis or compliance, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial analysis, or compliance, or a combination.

Responsibilities

• Manage the team’s internal enhanced review program including coordination and scheduling, execution of reviews, and executive level reporting.
• Lead small audits or own components of larger audits related to the payment network.
• Develop engagement planning documentation and audit programs.
• Design and execute audit procedures to verify internal controls and document auditee processes.
• Prepare clear, organized documentation to support work performed, including draft findings.
• Communicate audit progress to team, clients and audit lead.
• Coach, on-the-job train, and provide feedback to audit staff.
