Job summary

US Foods is seeking a data analytics leader within Internal Audit to design and implement technology-enabled solutions that expand audit coverage and deliver actionable insights across financial and operational audits, SOX, investigations, and special projects. Share knowledge and promote digital capabilities throughout the department.

This role is segmented as Remote Anywhere (100% remote in the US except Hawaii/territories) and Hybrid (three onsite days per week).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4 years of experience in data analytics, BI, automation, finance or risk.
• 3 years of audit experience preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
• Up to 10% overnight travel.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security and responsible AI.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences and work in agile environments.

• Manages scope, time, budget and resources for analytics initiatives.

Design, develop, and implement technology-enabled solutions that expand audit coverage, improve efficiency, and deliver meaningful insights. Apply these capabilities across operational and financial audits, SOX compliance, investigations, special projects, and management requests. Share knowledge and provide training to promote the effective use of digital capabilities throughout the department. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and adapt to a changing environment.

This position has been segmented "Remote Anywhere" meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.

This position has been segmented as Hybrid meaning there is a combination of three onsite days per week and the rest remote.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains data analytics, dashboards, automated testing routines, and other technology-enabled solutions to improve audit coverage, efficiency, and insight
• Manages objectives, scope, time, budget, and resources for continuous improvement of data analytics, automation and AI initiatives
• Considers applicable data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI requirements when developing solutions and evaluating risks and controls
• Focuses on client service and ensures quality deliverables for audit project
• Provides cross functional recommendations and insights using data and analytical techniques to resolve complex issues
• Delivers training and hands‑on coaching to staff and seniors on analytics, automation, AI and related tools and techniques.
• Collaborate with the data architects and data engineers to collect and analyze data
• Builds expertise in multiple areas of data intelligence and technical accounting topics
• Contributes to department strategies and initiatives
• Overnight travel up to 10%

• Internal: Internal Audit, Digital-Technology and Governance Teams, IT Enterprise Data Team, Corporate and Field Finance and Commercial Teams, Shared Business Services
• External: External auditors, contractors, vendors and regulatory bodies

Minimum Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, automation, finance, technology, risk and/or related field
• 3 years of audit experience preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Up to 10% overnight travel
• Strong proactive problem‑solving, critical and analytical thinking skills
• Data Mining and analytic experience
• Knowledge of data preparation, data quality, validation, analysis, and visualization concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete work independently while collaborating effectively with others to meet the needs of business stakeholders
• Ability to explain technical concepts, analytical results, assumptions, and limitations to nontechnical audiences
• Ability to work well in agile environments as team member and leader
• Ability to deal well with ambiguity and complex situations

• Leadership, self‑motivated and continuous improvement mentality
• Experience with tools such as SQL, KNIME, Snowflake, Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Power Query, Python, Power Automate, or Copilot Studio preferred; expertise across all tools is not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• General IT knowledge

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, or a related field

Certification/Training

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred

This role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $85,000 - $135,000
