Technical Talent Resource Manager @ A-V Services, Inc. | Audio-Visual Production

A-V Services Inc., a leading AV company with multiple fortune 100 contracts within the financial, pharmaceutical, and computing industry, seeks a lead audio engineer (A1) to operate advanced sound systems in a corporate environment.

These systems are predominantly permanent installations in conference rooms, auditoriums and television studios, but set up and operation of portable PA systems will be required as well. Must have great customer service with emphasis supporting the corporate work sector. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have Associates level college degree in a technology related field and/or minimum 4 years of previous employment specializing in audio engineering and operation.

Our corporation is looking for an individual who possesses a full understanding of all areas of audio production within live event and television environments. Responsibilities will include:

  • Skilled operation of digital audio mixing consoles, specifically Allen & Heath, Yamaha and Behringer, across live conference environments, and pre-recorded and live tv studio productions
  • Working knowledge of wireless microphone systems, PA set-ups and audio equalization
  • Familiarity with Dante and Dugan systems
  • Expertise in microphone placement for on-air and on-stage talent
  • Skilled in integration of audio components with other AV systems, such as video conferencing systems and on-line platforms such as Webex and Zoom
  • Quickly solve problems and make quick decisions during the production of live events, including system redundancies.
  • Up-to-date awareness of AV and IT technologies and their features
  • Ability to read and follow AV system flow diagrams and support documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure at all times
  • Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and interface with all personality types at all levels of seniority and positions.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and long hours.
  • Must be willing to travel, although most work will be performed at a permanent installation in NYC.
  • Ability to work and collaborate well across global teams and departments, including Creative Services, Event Management and Video Production.
  • Should be willing to innovate and try new things while managing risks.
