Job summary

AVLF is seeking a Managing Attorney for the Saturday Lawyer Program in Atlanta. This role provides leadership, oversees day-to-day operations, supervises staff, and coordinates three Saturday clinics monthly, both in-person and virtual.

The position requires a Georgia JD, active bar license, and at least five years of tenant-law or related experience, plus proven experience supervising volunteers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Juris Doctor degree and an active Georgia bar license.
• At least five years of relevant legal experience, preferably in tenant-law or low-income representation.
• Experience supervising program staff and coordinating volunteers.
• Ability to coordinate three Saturday Lawyer Clinic sessions monthly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Saturday Lawyer Program (SLP).
• Plan and lead three Saturday clinics per month.
• Recruit, engage, and support volunteer attorneys and other volunteers.
• Provide legal guidance and representation to SLP clients as needed.
• Supervise staff and interns; ensure performance and development.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce records and program data.
