Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to steer design, engineering, and lifecycle management of platforms powering cybersecurity operations across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You’ll influence technical strategy and work with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and software teams to deliver secure, scalable capabilities. You will lead complex integrations, drive automation, and establish standards for security, resilience, and regulatory compliance, while leveraging

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading architecture, engineering, and operation of complex enterprise platforms.
• Strong cloud, network, systems, and security tooling capabilities.
• Advanced programming or scripting in Python, Go, Java, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, engineering, and lifecycle of platforms for cybersecurity operations.
• Translate mission requirements into secure, scalable technology capabilities.
• Design and operate hybrid environments across cloud and on-premises.
• Engineer integrations between security platforms and enterprise services.
• Develop automation, IaC, and CI/CD to improve reliability and reduce risk.
• Uphold secure configuration, access management, logging, patching, backup, and lifecycle standards.
• Define resiliency, availability, performance, and recovery objectives.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Establish controls and evidence practices for audit and compliance.
• Leverage enterprise AI / LLM capabilities while ensuring security and correctness.
