Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Security Engineer to shape security across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. You will design and deliver secure software, write code, automate security, and embed controls throughout the SDLC.

You will mentor junior engineers while remaining an individual contributor, collaborating with product, infra, and business teams to strengthen the organization’s security posture with zero-trust and AI-driven approaches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade security solutions in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Ability to perform threat modeling using STRIDE, DREAD, or PASTA.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, C/C#, Go, Java).
• Secure SDLC practices including code review, static/dynamic analysis, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with integrated security testing.
• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, and Jira in agile teams.
• Ability to independently solve complex design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight.
• Vendor security risk assessments and validation of third-party controls.
• Ability to validate AI-assisted security recommendations and ensure proper data handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement advanced security solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Write code, develop automation, and embed security controls in the SDLC.
• Clarify security requirements for networks to enable multi-level security.
• Adopt emerging cybersecurity technologies (zero trust, AI-driven analytics).
• Triage threats based on risk assessments and allocate resources accordingly.
• Incorporate threat intelligence to secure products and features.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews while contributing as an individual contributor.
• Collaborate with product, infra, and business teams to implement security needs.
• Apply AI-assisted practices in SDLC/toolchain for testing and validation.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and translate insights into improvements.
