University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking an Assistant Director for the Infant Toddler Center. The role leads daily operations in the Center, supports programmatic and fiscal planning, and ensures staff meet education and health requirements.

Strong leadership and child development oversight are essential. Responsibilities include hiring oversight, parent communication, facility management, and ensuring safety and compliance with licensing and university policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training required.
• Has and maintains applicable Child Development Permit (Site Supervisor or higher).
• If working in an infant or toddler room, at least 3 infant units.
• Minimum of 6 semester units in administration and supervision of child development programs.
• Current child CPR and first aid certificates required.
• Valid and applicable Child Development Permit (Site Supervisor or higher) must be maintained.
• Valid and current First Aid/CPR certificates must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation of the Infant Toddler Center in absence of the center Director.
• Establishing goals and objectives; participate in fiscal/budget planning.
• Oversee programmatic and personnel aspects, including hiring procedures and staff education requirements.
• Maintain parent communication and facility/grounds management.
• Supervise services for students, staff, faculty and community families.
