Describe the general nature, level (degree of freedom) and purpose of having the job at Zurn Elkay. As a Lead – Assembly you will coordinate the day-to-day operations of a group of employees. You will assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work, direct efforts and provide technical guidance on more complex issues.
Prepares work schedules, assigns works, and oversees the work product. Reviews work orders, production specifications, technical instructions, facility requirements, tool requisition, equipment, and supplies for section. Reviews and compile operations records, such as yield, scrap, and maintenance costs. Reports to a supervisor or manager. Maintains production schedules and quality of work to a limited extent. “Lead and Direct” a group of two or more individuals.
3+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience.
Must be knowledgeable in D365, AX and other systems. Ability to use tools to make or repair parts and products. Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions such as standard work. Intermediate computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite. Work in a team environment with other members of a line or group to assemble products. Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry. Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand continuously for up to 10 hours per day. Flexibility with work hours for overtime as scheduled.
