Job summary

Mead Lumber Grandview is seeking a Lead Assembler to safely and efficiently assemble wood and metal components, including roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels, following design measurements and specifications.

You will lead the assembly team, ensure quality and safety, and drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency in a collaborative, employee-owned environment in Grandview, MO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous assembly or related experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and develop long-term solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, or learn to read, a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the assembly team to meet production goals and maintain safety.
• Assemble wood and metal components in accordance with design specifications.
• Verify dimensions and ensure accurate connections using appropriate tools.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing development and performance feedback.
