Qualifications

  • Familiarity with hand tools and measurement instruments.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics.
  • Strong data handling and record-keeping aptitude.
  • Good written communication with colleagues via email and docs.
  • Dependability and solid work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment and monitor product quality.
  • Lead and organize daily production work requirements.
  • Assemble parts per procedures and documentation.
  • Use hand tools including screwdrivers and torque drivers.
  • Conduct intermediate to complex testing of sub-assemblies.
  • Serve as go-to team member for shadowing and problem solving.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job description

Summary

The Lead Assembler will play a key role to within the production assembly team. This role will be assembling parts and sub-assemblies, and operating our production equipment, as well as assisting leadership to ensure production is running smoothly and efficiently. The lead assembler will be the point person to lead a shift in its duties and be responsible for the overall production and quality of the shift.


Principal Accountabilities


  • This role will operate production equipment and monitor the quality of products produced.

  • May lead and organize production daily work requirements.

  • Assembling parts according to assembly procedures, process sheets, and/or other relevant documentation.

  • Utilize hand tools including screwdrivers, torque drivers and assembly aids.

  • May perform intermediate to complex level testing of sub-assemblies prior to final assembly.

  • Serve as the go-to team member for shadowing, insights and problem solving.

  • Performs other duties as required.


Minimum Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relative experience.

  • Team lead experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience and aptitude with tools such as allen wrenches, ratchet wrenches, measuring tools, torque wrenches, scales, meters, and gauges.

  • Notable experience working with technical drawings, blueprints and/or schematics.

  • Technical aptitude for database navigation, information management and record keeping.

  • Reads, writes and communicates effectively via email, documentation and with colleagues.

  • Dependable and possesses an excellent work ethic.

  • Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures.


Physical Demands


  • Frequently required to access and manipulate various objects and tools.

  • The employee may occasionally move heavy objects.

  • The majority of the time the employee will be seated at a workstation but may need to perform their task standing at a workstation. Reasonable accommodations to be made if necessary.

Target Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00/hr - $21.00/hr + Shift Premium + Robust Benefits
