Job summary

Universal Instruments is hiring a Lead Assembler in Town of Conklin, NY to join the production assembly team. You will assemble parts and sub-assemblies, operate production equipment, and support leadership to keep production running smoothly and efficiently.

As shift lead you will guide daily work, monitor quality, and coordinate with colleagues. The role requires a high school diploma with 2+ years' experience, strong tool skills, and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading a production shift is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong aptitude for using hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication via email and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and monitor product quality.
• Lead and organize daily production tasks.
• Assemble parts according to procedures and documentation.
• Use hand tools including screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and assembly aids.
• Conduct intermediate to complex testing on sub-assemblies.
• Serve as a go-to team member for problem solving.
