Job summary

Sun Tan City in Lexington, KY is seeking a Salon Director in Training to drive store performance, supervise Tanning Consultants, and deliver exceptional client experiences in a fast-paced retail salon. You will coach the team, manage scheduling, and help meet sales goals while maintaining a clean, professional environment.

This role requires leadership, strong customer service, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Management or sales experience required.
• Beauty industry and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple situations.
• Strong leadership and ability to coach and mentor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in client-centric service and sales performance.
• Maintain a clean, professional salon environment.
• Set goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
• Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with Salon Director functions.
• Assist in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Maintain proper staffing to maximize productivity and service while controlling labor costs.
• Ability to work nights & weekends.
• 5-day workweek with approximately 35–45 hours per week depending on status.
