Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Architect / Architectural Designer to join the Industrial Center of the Property and Buildings team. The role can sit in Boise, Minneapolis or Atlanta and involves guiding design through planning, concept design, and construction documentation with a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team.

You will develop building solutions for public and private clients, produce design documentation, renderings, and execution strategies while upholding quality, safety, and compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience.
• Proficient knowledge of architectural principles, practices, process and project-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings showing external and internal appearance and structure of building projects.
• Gather and analyze data from site surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and other sources for design and construction.
• Perform architectural work and inspect site conditions to ensure conformance with regulations.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates; coordinate with owners, disciplines, and clients.
• Develop advanced modeling, concept development, and operating strategies for safe, functional spaces.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other professionals on multiple projects and manage timelines and resources.
• Verify site and structure characteristics and provide guidance on structural soundness.
