Job summary

FEH Design seeks a project architect/project manager/principal for the Dubuque office, offering ownership opportunities and a chance to grow with a storied firm. The role supports diverse commercial and institutional projects in the tri-state area, with a strong emphasis on mentoring junior staff and expanding the local design presence.

The candidate will lead coordination from concept to construction, supervise documentation, and collaborate with engineers and clients to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience on projects with increasing responsibilities.
• Licensed Architect in Iowa, Wisconsin, and/or Illinois.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to translate design concepts into constructable details and manage client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide and participate in project team coordination from concept through construction.
• Give direction of work and be the go-to person on projects.
• Mentor staff in their careers and review documentation/drawings.
• Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction.
• Participate in construction administration and evaluate bids.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate design concepts using Revit, 3D renderings, and other tools.
• Meet with clients and manage client expectations and coordination.
• Develop and maintain strong client relations and contribute to business development.
