Placements24 is seeking a Lead Architect to spearhead innovative architectural solutions from their George office. The role leads design teams, drives creative direction, and ensures project execution across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors, with a focus on sustainable and contextually relevant design.

You will manage client relations, develop project strategy, and mentor the team, shaping firm growth in the Garden Route region.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Architect with SACAP.
• Minimum 10 years of architectural practice with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Proven success leading major projects from inception to handover.
• Expertise in architectural design software with advanced BIM capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of SA building codes, planning regulations, and environmental design.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire architectural design teams, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from concept to completion.
• Develop and articulate innovative design concepts, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project briefs.
• Manage client relationships, conduct presentations, and negotiate project scope and deliverables.
• Ensure all designs meet rigorous quality standards, building regulations, and environmental sustainability targets for the George area.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed architectural documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contract administration.

Requirements
