JOB OVERVIEW
Provide services and support as a Regional Cultural Resources Identification Field Guide (Lead Archaeologist (Prehistoric Emphasis)) in the Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, And Hunting Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) | The Farm Production and Conservation Business Center (FPAC).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Lead Archaeologist (Prehistoric Emphasis) is tasked with identifying and documenting prehistoric cultural resources relevant to the project. This includes conducting research, analyzing artifacts, and contributing to the development of region-specific content for the field guides. The archaeologist will collaborate with other team members to ensure that prehistoric artifacts and site types are accurately represented and easily identifiable by FSA staff.
Desired Qualifications For Lead Archaeologist (Prehistoric Emphasis)
Education: Master’s degree in Anthropology, emphasizing prehistoric archaeology, meeting Secretary of the Interior qualifications.
