Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology is seeking talented Archaeological Geophysicists to join our newly established Geophysics team. The role involves supporting a varied portfolio of investigations across the UK and Europe, liaising with the Geophysics Manager and technical specialists, and mentoring colleagues as needed.

The position combines office-based and site-based work, with duties including project setup, fieldwork, data processing, interpretation, report writing and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Degree in geophysics, archaeology or related Earth science.
• Experience in archaeological geophysics is essential.
• Full manual driving licence required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise archaeological geophysical projects to ensure high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
• Contribute to design, methodology and tendering of geophysical investigations.
• Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
• Acquire high-quality data with diverse geophysical techniques.
• Train and supervise staff in fieldwork, data processing and reporting.
• Prepare client reports and publications.
