Job summary

The City of Allen is seeking a skilled aquatic program manager to supervise staff, develop and implement aquatic programs, and maintain water quality across pools and hot tubs. You will collaborate with city colleagues to ensure safe, engaging experiences for residents while upholding high service standards.

You will manage scheduling, safety inspections, and operations, with varied shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of relevant work experience; OR Associate’s degree plus six years; OR High School diploma or equivalent plus ten years.
• Degrees in Parks and Recreation or a related field preferred.
• Valid Class C Driver's License and lifeguard certifications (or ability to obtain within 3–6 months); CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervises aquatic staff, including hiring, training, promoting and evaluating staff and scheduling.
• Oversee aquatic usage, lane scheduling, and safety inspections to ensure safe operations.
• Oversee the summer swim team program, coordinate with contracted coaches and meet schedules.
• Support budget tracking, supply ordering, and reporting while assisting in meeting facility financial goals.
