Job summary

The Bay Club Company is seeking a Seasonal Aquatics Instructor to provide private and group swim instruction, maintain a safe learning environment, and help clients reach their swimming goals. You may perform Lifeguard duties as needed, ensuring safety and excellent service for members and guests.

Responsibilities include designing engaging sessions, evaluating progress, maintaining records, and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• Current Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED & First Aid certifications (adults, infant, and toddlers)
• Experience teaching swim lessons for all ages
• Knowledge of water hazards and first aid; ability to take safe actions
• Strong communication and customer service with members and parents
• Proficient computer skills for records and scheduling

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction; give specific and corrective feedback at each session
• Design and deliver effective and rewarding sessions and workouts
• Provide swim evaluations to help parents decide which program is best
• Maintain accurate records on clients' progress and follow progression guidelines
• Enforce pool rules and club policies
• Maintain a consistent work schedule and arrive punctually for sessions
• Communicate effectively with parents, members, and staff
• Track attendance and enter records in required systems
• Participate in events, meetings, and training including in-service training
• Assist with maintenance and cleanliness of the aquatics center
• Represent the club professionally in appearance and conduct
• Promote safety goals and ensure a safe work environment
