Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Care Center Associate to ensure aquatic life is cared for properly, educate guests, and maintain a welcoming environment in the PCC. The role emphasizes safety, accurate record-keeping, and proactive customer service.

Minimum one year handling freshwater/marine life; basic math and accounting awareness; strong communication. Training programs provided; evenings/weekends may be required. Start rate is $15.00 per hour with Petco Total Rewards benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience working with freshwater and marine aquatic life.
• Qualified applicants will demonstrate knowledge of aquatic life and aptitude for sales techniques.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; strong communication with guests and partners.

Responsibilities

• Ensure aquatic life across the PCC receives appropriate care by following guidelines and completing maintenance tasks.
• Educate guests and PCC partners on aquatic care using our selling model.
• Place aquatic life orders and special requests to meet customer needs and manage inventory.
• Perform routine housekeeping and ensure stock is displayed and labeled properly.
• Complete digital paperwork (water tests, receiving POs) accurately and timely.
