Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have been an Appraiser IV for at least two years.
• Appraiser IV level certification from the Georgia Department of Revenue.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise a staff of up to 6 appraisers.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure employees comply with policies and procedures.
• Oversee and evaluate accuracy of staff tasks.
• Prepare written reports and monitor sales ratios.
• Represent the Board of Assessors at the Board of Equalization and Superior Court.
• Assist taxpayers and staff in resolving valuation issues.
• Conduct pre-Superior court settlement conferences.
• Assist manager with annual budget.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
