Backed by decades of domain expertise and proprietary tech, their mission is to streamline and enhance one of the most intricate parts of the healthcare cycle: underpayment recovery and claims resolution.

The Role

As an Applied Scientist, you'll lead the design and deployment of intelligent systems that directly optimize high-value decisions in healthcare revenue recovery. You’ll focus on ranking and prioritization models that identify the most promising claims based on expected recovery, building scalable solutions that blend machine learning, operations research, and domain insight. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone passionate about solving real-world optimization problems at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build ranking models that surface the most valuable next actions across large-scale claims datasets
• Apply machine learning and statistical modeling to optimize claim routing, prioritization, and automation
• Conduct in-depth error analysis and feature engineering to drive performance improvements
• Develop new model architectures to uncover and act on emerging patterns of opportunity
• Evaluate and tune models with a focus on real-world impact and feedback loops
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data engineers, product managers, and business experts to integrate your models into production systems

What You’ll Bring

• 6+ years of experience in applied science, data science, or machine learning roles
• Strong background in optimization, ranking, or recommendation systems
• Demonstrated success building and deploying models in production environments
• Extensive experience with data wrangling, feature engineering, and experimental design
• Proficiency with Python and ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related field (MS/PhD preferred)
• Python, SQL
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
