Job description

Deloitte is hiring a ServiceNow Lead Applied AI Engineer II to design and deliver full-stack, outcome-focused products that incorporate applied GenAI and agentic capabilities. The role is onsite in Dallas and includes end-to-end technical ownership, from architecture and development to testing, integrations, and support.

Role Responsibilities
  • Drive a culture of accountability for customer and business outcomes, including the cost of achieving them.
  • Build engineering solutions for complex problems with valuable outcomes, maintaining high-quality, lean design and implementation while owning inference, token, and cloud cost.
  • Act as the technical advocate for products, ensuring code integrity, technical feasibility, and alignment to business and customer goals.
  • Lead requirement analysis, low-level architecture and component design, development, testing, integrations, and ongoing support.
  • Maintain accountability for architecture and technical stack integrity against enterprise standards and strategy.
  • Manage dependencies, code design, implementation, quality, data, and long-term maintenance and operations.
  • Stay hands-on and self-directed, continuously learning new approaches, languages, and frameworks.
  • Create technical specifications and produce high-quality, supportable, scalable code while reviewing other engineers’ work and mentoring to meet or exceed quality KPIs.
  • Work collaboratively with empowered, cross-functional teams including product management, experience, and delivery, integrating diverse perspectives to balance feasibility, viability, usability, and value.
  • Use rapid, low-cost experimentation to develop lean engineering solutions and favor action and evidence over extensive planning.
  • Engage with customers and product teams before, during, and after delivery to help ensure the right solution at the right time.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in modern software engineering practices, including AI and agentic SSDLC, with automated delivery from discovery through production and operations with quality checks across the SSDLC lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership through well-structured arguments and evidence-based trade-offs, and translate business and user needs, architectures, and UX/UI designs into technical specifications and code.
  • Foster a co-creation environment and build constructive relationships to support shared momentum toward product goals.

  • 3+ years of cloud-native engineering experience using FaaS, PaaS, micro-services, or enterprise platform deployment models, including Azure, AWS, GCP and their AI/ML services, plus application-level infrastructure-as-code and cost-aware engineering (FinOps accountability).
  • 1+ years establishing engineering standards, actively leading, mentoring, and guiding adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Prior software engineering experience with Business Context Diagrams (BCD), sequence/activity/state/entity relationship/data flow diagrams, OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and code instrumentations, including AI-augmented spec-driven development.
  • Prior experience using methodologies and tools such as XP, Lean, DevSecOps, SRE, ADO, GitHub, SonarQube, Automated Test Framework (ATF), MLflow, and agentic AI frameworks (for example, ServiceNow NASK, MCP, LangFuse, LangSmith, or equivalent multi-agent orchestration tools).
