Job summary

North Stone is seeking a Lead Application Engineer to support the development and sustainment of the DOW logistics application. The Lead Application Engineer will design, implement, and maintain features while guiding development standards and ensuring system performance and reliability.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, architecture participation, backend service development, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality code through peer reviews in a DoD-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong Java, JavaScript and SQL development skills.
• Experience in enterprise application development and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain application components using Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Provide technical leadership and code guidance to the team.
• Participate in system design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Develop and maintain application integrations and backend services.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement performance improvements.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews and development standards.
