Job description

We have a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity for a Senior Application Development Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. The role requires expertise in Typescript, proficiency in at least one other programming language, and the ability to verbally explain coding challenges. This is a 100% remote position.

The interview process includes 2 rounds plus a take-home coding assessment.

Must Haves :

• 4+ years of progressive hands-on software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Typescript
• Experience building or maintaining data-centric applications
• At least one additional programming language

Nice to Haves :

• Experience with React, SQL and NoSQL databases, API standards (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, GraphQL)
• Healthcare industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities :

• Write exemplary, clear, and error-free code and documentation daily
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and create software requirements, tests, and documentation
• Refine software development processes
• Manage project tasks with some guidance, communicate effectively with peers

About this role :

The Developer Enablement Team develops AI-based solutions for developer governance and system observability, operating within a Scrum Agile environment with two-week sprints and daily MS Teams collaboration.

Job Profile Summary

Position Purpose :

Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions in collaboration with various technical and non-technical stakeholders to support business needs across the enterprise.

Education / Experience :

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) is preferred, along with 4-6 years of related experience or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

Technical Skills :

• Experience with code quality and standards evaluation and improvement
• Experience in working with third-party application developers
• Knowledge of programming concepts and software design

Soft Skills :

• Intermediate knowledge seeking in area of specialty
• Problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and sound judgment

License / Certification :

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification is preferred.
