Job summary

Brown Advisory Incorporated in Baltimore seeks a Lead Integration Engineer to design and build system-to-system integrations, APIs, data pipelines, and vendor connectivity. You will drive API strategy, microservice architecture, and secure, scalable solutions across wealth and asset management platforms including Canoe, Snowflake, and Addepar.

You will lead technical design reviews, collaborate with product, security, and vendor teams, and ensure compliance with SOX, AML/KYC, and other standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of software engineering, integration engineering, application development or hands-on solution design experience supporting financial systems and wealth or asset management platforms.
• 5+ years of experience in wealth management, asset management, investment operations, portfolio management, or adjacent financial services environments.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience leading architects, engineers, analysts, delivery teams, or cross-functional technical workstreams.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering API integrations, microservices, middleware solutions, data services, and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy integration patterns for Canoe, Snowflake, Addepar, portfolio management platforms, reporting platforms, and accounting systems.
• Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate strategy into practical technology roadmaps.
• Establish technical standards for API design, data contracts, authentication, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Lead engineering workstreams through design, delivery, testing, and production support transitions.
• Support and enhance systems in regulated financial environments with data quality, privacy, security and resilience.
