Job summary

GigaGen seeks an experienced scientific leader to design and manage experiments for next-generation antibody therapeutics in San Carlos, CA. You will provide technical leadership on protein engineering, synthetic biology, and high-throughput assays, mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-functional teams.

You will drive project goals, timelines, and external collaborations with CROs, synthesize complex data for presentations, and contribute to new assays and technologies to advance

Qualifications

• PhD in chemical/biological engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, or similar.
• 8+ years industry experience (Post-PhD) OR MS with 12+ years OR BS with 15+ years.
• Proven publications and conference presentations.
• Experience mentoring direct reports.
• Experience managing CROs and external collaborations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage experiments for next-gen antibody therapeutics.
• Provide technical leadership for complex projects incl. protein engineering and HT sequencing.
• Collaborate with management to secure resources.
• Stay updated on new tools and technologies for antibody discovery.
• Mentor junior lab staff and possibly manage others.
• Manage projects with external vendors.
• Synthesize data for internal/external presentations.
• Drive goals and timelines across teams.
• Coordinate internal/external communications.
