Job summary

General Motors seeks an experienced technical leader to build and guide a team tackling complex antenna and RF front-end challenges. This hands-on leadership role blends people management with direct design, simulation, validation, and troubleshooting contributions.

The candidate will define technical strategy, drive data-based decisions, and partner with product, mechanical, and supply chain teams to deliver robust connectivity solutions across vehicle programs. This hybrid role requires travel <25% and a focus on manufacturing-ready outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• 7+ years of antenna/RF development experience or similar.
• Proven success leading antenna or RF front-end design from concept to production.
• Strong background in antenna design, EM simulation, RF circuit design, and system-level optimization.
• Experience with RF/EM design and simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, ANSYS, ADS, or AWR.
• Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator).
• Experience leading engineering teams or providing technical leadership on complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of antenna systems for cellular, GNSS, Wi-Fi, V2X, and emerging wireless technologies.
• Guide RF front-end architecture development including LNAs, matching networks, filters, diplexers, multiplexers.
• Oversee simulation, measurement, validation, and root-cause investigations to support data-driven decisions.
• Drive design-for-manufacturing, design-for-test, and reliability considerations across product development.
• Represent antenna and RF engineering in technical reviews and cross-functional forums.
• Collaborate with product, mechanical, supply chain, and software teams to ensure successful integration.
