Job summary

Methodist University invites an experienced Director of Annual Giving and Digital Engagement to lead the comprehensive annual giving program and integrate digital strategies to boost donor participation, retention, and philanthropic growth.

The role oversees direct mail, leadership giving, and year-end campaigns, while leveraging data-driven marketing, segmentation, and analytics to enhance donor experience and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in annual fund, alumni relations, digital fundraising, or similar outreach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, and organizational ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with constituent management databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-channel annual giving strategy aligned with institutional priorities.
• Manage all annual fund solicitations, including direct mail, digital campaigns, and leadership annual giving efforts.
• Identify opportunities to expand the annual giving program through digital tools and best practices.
• Analyze campaign performance and trends to inform strategy and improve participation and revenue outcomes.
• Lead digital fundraising efforts: email campaigns, online giving, social media fundraising, and targeted digital appeals.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications for cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns.
• Cultivate and steward donor prospects; maintain donor portfolios and timely reporting in the CRM.
