Job description

We are AAA Game Art Studio – an art outsource studio with a focus on gamedev. Our clients are big gamedev companies such as Playtika, Wooga, A Thinking Ape, and many others. Due to our active growth, we are pleased to announce an open vacancy for a “Lead Animator Spine”.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in remotely managing a team of animators and implementing game art projects;
  • Proficiency in Spine;
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the gaming or related industry;
  • Strong knowledge of basic animation principles, including rhythm, deformation, overlaps, etc.;
  • Understanding of object physics (e.g., fabric remains light and flexible, metal does not behave like rubber);
  • Experience working with effects, including frame-by-frame animation;
  • Attention to detail in technical tasks;
  • Experience working with PSD source files;
  • Knowledge of animation principles, a good sense of dynamics, form, color and composition, human and animal anatomy;
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work and a willingness to complete a test task.
Responsibilities:
  • Managing remote teams of animators;
  • Ensuring the quality and efficiency of projects;
  • Planning and monitoring team workflows in collaboration with the Project Manager (PM);
  • Reporting project progress to the Art Director;
  • Providing feedback to team members;
  • Creating animations in Spine;
  • Preparing PSD files;
  • Creating animation objects using slots;
  • Developing and exporting atlases;
  • Collaborating with artists and the Art Director to animate characters, environments, and FX;
  • Exporting animations in accordance with technical requirements.
Would be an advantage:
  • A background in art education;
  • Participation in released game projects;
