Job summary

Coachella-Valley-Anesthesia in Bakersfield, CA is seeking board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologists to join a brand-new ambulatory surgery center ahead of its early 2027 opening.

You would be there from day one and help shape how the center runs, with a physician-only anesthesia model and no routine CRNA supervision.

Compensation includes $325/hour with an 8-hour daily guarantee; optional hybrid coverage at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital at similar rates.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology (ABA or AOBA).
• Active California medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Active DEA registration.
• Weekday, daytime surgery center schedule.
• Hospital call available for those who choose hybrid coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care at a brand-new ambulatory center.
• Option to provide hospital coverage at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital with comparable rates.
