The Goddard School of Manassas, VA is looking for experienced, energetic, and friendly Infant/Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K teachers to join our team!

At The Goddard School located in Manassas, VA, we take your well-being and the well-being of those we educate and care for seriously and have put several measures in place to make our environment the safest it can be. We have ample PPE supplies on hand, a hospital-grade disinfecting system, daily professional cleaning, and additional employees who regularly disinfect and sanitize high-touch areas throughout the day. The Goddard School is a licensed preschool, teaching children as young as six weeks all the way through pre-kindergarten. With highly qualified teachers and administrators, we provide a fun, nurturing, and developmentally-appropriate program.

Job Description:

The teacher is responsible for the care and education of a group of children, working as a lead teacher in partnership with an assistant. Together both teachers design and implement lesson plans, and manage the students as they learn, eat, sleep, and play. Teachers are responsible for keeping their classroom organized and clean, and communicating with parents in person and in writing. All teachers work full-time, year-round, with paid days off for illness and vacation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Feel comfortable and safe working in our clean, state-of-the-art facilities with strict health and safety guidelines.
  2. Experience the wonder of children participating in activities you planned.
  3. Observe children's interests and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum.
  4. Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements.
  5. Engage with other early childhood professionals and continue to grow in your profession.
Qualifications:

Education - all candidates must have one of the following:

  1. BA in Early Childhood Education, or related field.
  2. AA in Early Childhood Education, or related field.
  3. Child Development Associate (CDA) (or at least 12 college credits in Education).
  4. Be currently enrolled in either a CDA or Associate's Degree program.

All candidates must also have the following:

  1. Experience working with young children; school-setting experience is preferred.
  2. Comfort with technology for lesson planning and parent communication.
  3. Mastery of the English language, as spoken and written, to permit effective communication with parents.

  1. Salary range: $15 to $25/Hour depending on qualifications.

Our early childhood teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment and work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
