Job description

Our school is expanding! We are looking to hire both full-time and part-time teachers and assistants. Students range between 3 months and 6 years old.

As an outreach of Saint Christopher’s Episcopal Church, St. Christopher’s Montessori School is dedicated to providing an inclusive, loving, Christ-centered environment that promotes an exceptional early childhood experience. SCMS believes in fostering the development of the whole child in which each child can learn and grow mentally, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually. Following Montessori curriculum, SCMS strives to create an environment that encourages and provides the following:

  • Experiences appropriate to each child’s unique developmental level
  • Learning through play
  • A carefully prepared and fascinating environment
  • Consistent and open communication

The school year runs from August to May, with optional summer camps in June and July. Part-time and full-time positions are available. All employees working 20+ hours/week are eligible for pension benefits (5% contribution with an additional 4% matched). Full-time employees receive 10 PTO days. Optional health and dental insurance plans are available, with 50% paid by the employer. Paid vacations are provided after a 90-day probationary period: 1 week at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks at Christmas, and 1 week at Spring Break. Additionally, there are 2 full weeks of paid in-service training each year (one in August and one in May).
