Scribd, Inc. is hiring Principal & Lead Analytics Engineers to scale data for an AI-native environment. You’ll shape the technical foundations, modeling standards, and development practices, acting as a senior contributor with broad influence across teams.

You will connect analytics investments to company priorities, guide data modeling and governance decisions, and elevate data quality and reliability through scalable platforms and tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in analytics engineering or related.
• Governed data models with semantic layers and authoritative definitions.
• Experience with data quality, observability, governance, and privacy systems.
• Ability to design data models and semantic layers for self-serve analytics across multiple teams.
• Advanced SQL and production experience with AWS, Databricks, Looker, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional data initiatives from strategy to production.
• Strong judgment balancing stakeholder needs with reusable data products and debt reduction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading on-call rotations and incident resolution is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics engineering initiatives that scale data for AI-native Scribd, Inc.
• Define data modeling standards and development practices for faster delivery.
• Communicate tradeoffs clearly to senior leaders and align with company priorities.
• Develop canonical datasets, semantic layers, and governance models for trusted data.
• Drive data quality, observability, and security across data platforms.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure reproducible, scalable data pipelines.
