Job summary

Polysciences, Inc. is seeking an experienced Analytical R&D Supervisor to lead an internal analytical team in a state-of-the-art facility. The role focuses on developing, validating, and transferring reproducible analytical methods, while partnering with R&D synthesis to optimize processes and scale up.

The ideal candidate will direct 2–4 chemists, ensure ISO 13485 compliance, and collaborate with QC to maintain product characterization capabilities and data integrity across projects.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry – Organic or Analytical preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience developing and validating analytical methods in ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 environment.
• 3+ years’ experience leading a team of analytical scientists developing and validating analytical methods
• Hands-on experience with cGMP methods and LCMS/GCMS/NMR/GPC/FTIR/TGA/DSC/Viscometers.
• Extensive knowledge of analytical equipment, methods, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with analytical teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2–4 analytical chemists developing and validating cGMP analytical methods and analyzing samples using LCMS, GCMS, NMR, GPC, FTIR, TGA, DSC, Viscometers.
• Create an inclusive environment where team members are engaged, motivated, and improving skills in a regulated ISO 13485 environment.
• Write well-organized method development reports and protocols for method validation.
• Collaborate with R&D synthesis chemists to understand reaction outcomes and improve processes.
• Lead proposals and timelines for new analytical methods and provide training to QC staff.
